Sanitation Company IDO was formed in 1931 in Stockholm as a result of the acquisition of civil engineering Elof Lundberg's patent on an armature for WCs.
IDO today is a part of Sanitec which is Europe's leading producer of bathroom ware. Sanitec is composed of several companies that all operate with some form of sanitary products.
