BIMobject AB announces an expansion into Poland. BIMobject Poland sp. z o.o. based in Gliwice will be a wholly-owned subsidiary to BIMobject AB. The Polish subsidiary will be a firm base for sales, content management and R&D (Research & Development).
BIMobject sees the Polish market as an important strategic and geographic base for sales, content management and R&D – Poland is a construction and manufacturing hub which provides unique opportunities to deepen BIMobject’s presence in the Eastern European market.
The Polish market for furniture ranks in the top five producers and exporters in the world with an estimated value of 8 billion Euros in 2014. E.g. over 2,500 windows and doors manufacturers makes it the market leader in Europe and world-ranking for roof windows. The Polish tiles manufacturing sector is worth almost 500 million Euros – around 5,6% of the total production in the EU. The sector for household appliances consists of 27 factories – the biggest in the EU. The total sales value in 2014 for construction materials amounted to over 11,3 billion Euros. ()
BIMobject has hired a team of experienced and talented people to cover all the competences needed to run the subsidiary. The Polish BIMobject crew exhibits a blend of competencies in the fields of 3D graphics, virtual reality, computer simulation and entrepreneurship. The collective knowledge base will enrich the entire company and contribute to an accelerated development of BIM solutions.
“The Polish market has rapidly become a hotspot for furniture and building product manufacturing and we have noticed an increasing demand from the Polish market, that we now will respond to. The timing was also right, with the opportunity to hire a very experienced and passionate management immediately. We highly respect their know-how in the fields of 3D modeling, virtual reality and simulation – knowledge that comes well in hand with BIMscript® and our future cloud solutions”, says Stefan Larsson, CEO and founder of BIMobject AB.
"Poland is the biggest beneficiary of EU funds for the next five years – over 82 billion Euros is planned for innovation and industry growth. As a part of this investment in innovation and industry growth, we plan on merging R&D activities with daily BIMobject operations, sales and BIM content development", says Aleksandra Kociemba, Managing Director of BIMobject Poland.
"Having many years of experience in the Polish IT, CAD and visualisation business, we decided to make a change and significant impact in the Polish mentality, introducing the technology, which in our opinion, will be a next step and a big thing both for the construction and IT sector", says PhD Eng.
