The ECAP® system is an external thermal insulation (ITE) process that uses semi-finished polystyrene boards. During manufacturing, the boards receive a treatment that revolutionises installation times by simplifying the operational scenario.
The innovative ECAP® system saves considerable time in terms of installation: 20 - 40 %. The construction project is therefore shorter and simpler. This technological advance is the ideal combination between energy, time and labour efficiency.
The ECAP® system contributes to high thermal performance. With a wide range of decorative facings in various designs and colours, the ECAP® system offers a customisable aesthetic finish capable of meeting local constraints.

An innovation that shortens the length of the construction project, in three points:
1 - Application of a 3 mm-thick base coat (leveller) to the polystyrene board.
2 - Integration of a CSTBat-QB certified mesh.
3 - Space reserved for grout and pre-drilled holes in the mesh for the dowels.

The direct integration of the base coat and mesh on the polystyrene board prevents long application and drying operations at the construction site. In an effort to avoid thermal bridges, pointing the boards is made easy thanks to the presence of the mesh that extends over both sides of the panel.

Description
ECAP® is comprised of:
- insulation composed of standard expanded polystyrene boards (white), with a lambda of λ= 0.038 W/mK
- an initial base coat associated with a factory-fitted fiberglass mesh,
- a first coat,
- thin bed finishing with a scraped or textured appearance in various grain sizes.

Applications
EDIL-Therm® EPS can be applied as follows:
- Glued: new buildings on flat, cohesive and absorbent surfaces.
- Fixed and pinned: renovation works on uneven surfaces.
- Extra insulation over existing ETICS.
This process can be used to insulate all types of new or old buildings: individual and collective housing, offices or shops, industrial and agricultural buildings.
It can also be used to repair and protect damaged façades or as extra thermal insulation.
